Teen Driving Roadeo Details
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for U. S. teens and account for more than one in three deaths in this age group.Date: September 30, 2012
Location: Grounds of Ashland, Inc., Dublin, Ohio
Time: Noon - 4:30 PM (Rain or Shine)
Requirement: Driver's License or Permit
Teen Driving Roadeo is for Central Ohio Teens with a driver's license or permit to learn through hands-on, interactive learning stations arming them with the skills of an experienced driver.
License/Permit/Insurance Proof
The teen will need to provide a copy of the insurance card and the teen's driver's license or permit prior to the event.
Teens Will Work with Our Professionals
With the help of the Dublin Police Department, Washington Township Fire Department, Mid-Ohio Driving School, and other resources, teen drivers experience driving techniques and learn driving protocol.

- Vehicle maintenance: Use of jumper cables; Check oil and fluids Changing a tire demo
- Traffic stop behavior
- Fatal vision goggles – Sobriety testing
- Car accident behavior - What to do if involved in a crash and first aid
- First aid
- Distracted driving
- Driving awareness - Discuss high accident areas; roundabouts; left turn lanes; four way stop when power out; discuss entrance/exit ramp procedures; Deer vehicle safety; wildlife injuries on roadway/coyotes; school bus rules; fuel saving recommendations; buckle up for safety
